The field of autonomous automation became an area of researcher’s interest after the introduction of deep learning and AI. This study utilizes a methodical approach to examine the state of autonomous vehicles (AVs), looking at their technological developments, advantages, and drawbacks and providing readers with a thorough grasp of autonomous technology and how it will affect cars and different stakeholders in the future. The research also examines AV technology’s possibilities and projections for the future while taking infrastructure, communication, and artificial intelligence improvements into account. A substantial portion of the research focuses on a case study in Jaipur, India, analyzing AVs’ effects on traffic efficiency, mobility patterns, safety, environmental impact, accessibility, and urban planning. Results suggest potential improvements in traffic flow, user satisfaction, and environmental sustainability. The study’s findings highlight the importance of continuing research and development to address technological, social, and legal issues to fully realize the advantages of autonomous cars.
