This chapter takes a look at the future of PNT, where it is all going, and life beyond our current paradigm of national satellite based PNT systems. We begin with a look at the first international navigation and timing system, the LunaNet system for the Moon and cislunar space. This international system, let by NASA, will develop a positioning and data system for the upcoming Artemis program of returning to the Moon. We also look at the possible return of some older techniques, including celestial navigation and ground-based upgrades to the LORAN system. We will then consider life after PNT and look at some of the fascinating new research into future technologies that could replace the current paradigm. These include several very interesting new technologies, including totally new concepts and ideas.
