Abstract Climate protection projects of the European Union provide a gradually reduction of CO2 emissions from new cars in the next years. The targets caused so far numerous measures which resulted in an improved efficiency of new vehicles. As part of the search for further improvements the utilization of residual heat gets increased into focus. For this reason OEMs and suppliers work intensively on innovative concepts for heat recovery.
