This paper estimates the effect of vehicle types on transport network performance by developing a simulation model in TRANUS—an integrated Land Use and Transport Modeling system. By investigating 26 zones in a traffic network in Binh Duong province of Vietnam, the research utilizes the gravity model to estimate the origin–destination matrix in which the generation and attraction values at a zone are counted directly. The research result shows that the level of service of the transport network changes significantly under the operation of various types of traffic flow. Specifically, if the vehicle component is only motorbikes, the service level is A on all the routes of the network. However, when the vehicle component is all passenger cars, the system should have more traffic jams, only about 50% of the routes have A level. The system becomes more jammed when the transport mode is all truck or container truck, the service levels on all the roads are over the F level.
