Abstract Cybersecurity is an important topic in the automotive industry. The increasing connectivity between vehicles and infrastructure as well as a multitude of open interfaces heightens the risks of cybercriminal attacks against mission-critical automotive components. It is crucial for the future of the industry and the success of upcoming car IT solutions to secure them against new attack scenarios. Many different types of critical components are possible vulnerabilities for attacks. These attacks are, for example, data theft or blocking services or communication routes.
