There are increasing civil applications of UAVs, UAS, and drones and integration of their operations into the urban, smart city total transportation system. This research describes the proposed operational approach for drone applicability operations within an urban area, including the airspace design, recommended airway construction, and critical safety considerations. The study looks at the appropriate management system, which needs to be highly automated with centralized observation/supervision and allows fully autonomous drone flights using GPS and active marker systems integrated into the infrastructure and described in a GIS context. The intended selection is based on identifying paths as expected and driven trajectories, as well as their autonomous deployment.
