In the field of drive systems of machines, there are several branches of development of drive designs, as a rule, with an increase in the machine’s own weight and its load capacity, the requirements for its propellers in terms of strength characteristics, are also growing, for example, road and mining machines. In this case, the classic wheeled chassis is gradually being replaced by tracked drives and rubber-coated tracked drives. However, there are areas of the economy where, in addition to the strength characteristics of the undercarriage, dynamic performance is also a prerequisite for its operation. For example, in agriculture and related areas, which require special attention to the quality of the fertile soil layer or the average speed of the machine. The article presents the results of the study of the problems of using such track systems in practice, the examples of the application of technical systems by manufacturers and current solutions offered by the market are analyzed. Based on the analysis of initial data, the requirements to such technical systems are formulated and the original design of the rubber reinforced caterpillar mover is proposed. As a result of the research, a simulation mathematical model of the original design caterpillar mover was developed and the output data of this model simulation by means of MATLAB-Simulink were analyzed, the effectiveness of design solutions in terms of real impact on the movement of the machine equipped with the original mover was assessed.
