Abstract The term “Project Cancelled” acquired a special meaning in British aviation history during the postwar period. In a critical documentation (see Fig. 11.1), the British doyen of investigative aviation journalism, Derek Wood vividly portrayed how the wrong political decisions ushered the downfall of the once leading British aeronautical industry.
