BibliometricBibliometrics and content analysis was carried out using tools like HarzingHarzing, maxQDAMaxqda, VOS ViewerVOS viewer, etc. for identifying emergingEmerging trends in the field. A step by step procedure of conducting the content analysis is listed in the report. Various areas of importance like user-centeredUser centered design and heuristicsHeuristic and strategiesStrategies to incorporate into design processes are discussed based on the results from the content analysis. Additionally, existing usabilityUsability testing methods and on-going research on improving these methods are also presented in the report. Other important factors like cost justification that human factors specialists must account for when incorporating usabilityUsability tests are also briefly touched upon in this study. Finally, the newer perspectives of incorporating usabilityUsability tests into design processes are highlighted based on the literature review.
