With the development of Arctic shipping routes, polar sailing ships face the threat of sea ice. In this paper, the Lindqvist formula was introduced to analyze the force on ships sailing in the ice areas. Combined with relevant documents, it was found that the main influencing factors of the ice resistance encountered by ice-navigating ships include main engine power, ship speed, ice thickness, etc. This paper focused on ships and sea ice, selected 14 evaluation indexes, and established an evaluation index system for ship safety in ice areas. Then, the expert scoring method was used to score the importance of these indexes, and the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method based on entropy weight was used to screen out the evaluation indexes to build the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model based on entropy weight. The model found that bow strength, ship speed, main power, and sea ice thickness are the main influencing factors; that is, they have the greatest impact on the safety of ice-navigating ships.
