Taking the Chongqing via Chishui to Xuyong (Sichuan border) expressway project as an example, this paper focus on predicting trip generation, trip distribution, and trip assignment through a four-step model based on motor vehicle Origin-Destination surveys. The location of the project is rich in tourism resources. The construction of this project will promote the development of surrounding tourism resources and generate a large amount of tourism traffic. So, special consideration is given to the characteristics of tourism traffic in the project. The paper obtains the traffic volumes of the Chongqing via Chishui to Xuyong (Sichuan border) expressway.
