The aircraft mounted TAMDAR Sensor currently provides an ice/no ice signal. Through a contract with NASA, AirDat has compiled icing intensity data from both the Cox Wind Tunnel as well as the University of Wyoming's King Air aircraft. This data, in addition to data collected from experiments conducted at the AirDat lab, was used to provide icing intensity output from the TAMDAR sensor.
