An integrated optimization method of multiple types of electric bus timetabling and scheduling is proposed to improve the service quality of airport shuttle buses and reduce the operation cost. Firstly, considering the difference of passenger flow between a bi-direction of airport shuttle buses, an integrated optimization model of the multi-type electric bus timetabling and bus scheduling is established with the optimization objectives of total passenger waiting time and bus operating cost. Secondly, the infeasible solution modification operator is designed to improve the multi-objective genetic algorithm to solve the model. Finally, an airport shuttle bus line of Xi'an Xianyang International Airport is an analysis example. The results show that using multiple bus types and integrated optimization of timetabling and scheduling can reduce airport shuttle bus operating costs and passenger waiting time compared with existing schemes.
