Low cost and zero emission have always been the goal of general aircraft. In this paper, the life cycle cost estimation model of light electric aircraft is studied, and the aerodynamics, flight performance, weight, and economic analysis model of electric aircraft is established. A multi-disciplinary design optimization method for light electric aircraft based on life cycle cost is presented. Taking a four-seat electric aircraft as an example, the parallel subspace optimization algorithm is used to optimize the model and find the optimal solution. The life cycle cost estimation method of electric aircraft and the multidisciplinary design optimization method of the overall design of electric aircraft studied in this paper can not only be directly applied to the conceptual design stage of electric aircraft but also provide technical support for the future research and development of electric aircraft in China.
