When non-motorized vehicles are traveling on the road, cyclists pay close attention to the movement of nearby vehicles and assess whether they pose any risks or potential dangers to their own safety. This study investigates the perception-decision process of non-motorized vehicle cyclists, focusing on how they respond to internal disturbances while riding. Cyclists monitor nearby vehicles for potential risks and take evasive actions to ensure their safety. The research aims to analyze riding behavior and the impact of internal disturbances on the psychological and spatial characteristics of other cyclists. Data were collected through questionnaire surveys and video recordings on Chang'an Middle Road, Xiying Road, Yanxiang Road, and Youyi East Road. Findings indicate that internal disturbances increase psychological pressure on cyclists, leading to behaviors such as deceleration or trajectory changes. The study identifies similar proportions of aggressive, balanced, and cautious riders among electric and regular bicycle users. There is a positive correlation between rider attributes and behavior, with more adventurous behaviors seen in aggressive riders. Additionally, the tendency for right-side passing is more pronounced in high-volume non-motorized traffic flow.
