A model is presented that allows a simulation of the main characteristics of a cylinder head gasket. The model considers the transformations that occur in the facing paper during the gasket manufacturing process and with its utilization it's possible to obtain several simulations in a short period of time. In this way the amount of experimental iterative work needed to develop a new gasket can be reduced.
