Weight distribution considerations, operational considerations, and physical interference problems encountered mounting concrete truck-mixers on truck chassis are discussed. Trends in mixer size growth and increased acceptance of hydrostatic drive systems are illustrated. A formula for arriving at a truck side-rail “beam” acceptability index is outlined.
