EPAS solutions provide steering assistance to the driver with many additional benefits.Package development has been pursued through two channels: electrical and thermo-mechanical. The first method ensured excellent functionality (100 amps park cycle at 125°C base plate temperature and a power conversion density greater than 2W/cm3 which is higher than typical designs). The second development stage consisted of computational simulations using 3-D finite element modeling. FEM software provided different solutions and numerical analysis, which guarantees reliability in the required operating conditions. The resulting EPAS module is assured of enhanced reliability and dependability. The compact solution offers ease of installation, full modularity and environmental and electrical compatibility.
