This paper provides a basic introduction to the use of an analog computer for the engineer who currently has no familiarity with this tool. All of the necessary background information such as simple Laplace transforms, transfer functions, and block diagrams are reviewed before the discussion of the computer is begun. The paper is written so that high level skills in mathematics or electronics are unnecessary in order to obtain an elementary working knowledge of the analog computer.
