The automobile customers' demands for ever-increasing passenger comfort has prompted the heating and air-conditioning engineers to make in-depth studies to determine requirements to meet this challenge for the future. The existing available studies on passenger comfort for all environments is somewhat limited, especially in what is considered the real world comfort interpretations for design considerations. Therefore, we at Nihon Radiator in Japan have undertaken a program at our test facility, and in field evaluations, for the purpose of understanding passenger comfort temperature.
