“HALT is a process developed to uncover design defects and weaknesses in electronic and mechanical assemblies. It is a technique that addresses reliability issues at an early stage in product development, offering significant advantages over traditional techniques.” [1]Highly Accelerated Life Test methodology consists of testing products in more critical conditions than the normal ones. The objective is to speed up and precipitate failures determining the main weak points of the product. The methodology has been applied to automotive vehicle components endurance tests, aiming to reduce test duration and therefore necessary time for new concepts development. Although HALT objective is lead product to failure, any that may occur, in this work the intention is to avoid introducing ways of failure that do not correspond to the field ones.To evaluate the results we used variance analysis, structural analysis of the samples (after each test) and, finally, weibull analyses. The objective, in this case well succeed, was to reproduce as similar as possible field failures.
