The origin of the aero-acoustic noise caused around commercial vehicles varies from microscopic to macroscopic flow phenomena. Accordingly, for the establishment of the noise prediction method with computational technologies, suitable methodologies have to be developed corresponding to specified problems. Then, authors have made some experimental studies to survey the key points that dominate the noise performance of a typical truck as an introduction of a series of researches. This paper presents the outline of the results.
