The concentrations of ten polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH) were analysed in the particulate emissions of a swirlchamber, direct injection and prechamber engine, respectively. The article describes the sampling and the analytical procedure and discusses in detail the results measured at more than 23 different steady-state operating conditions.
