This paper summarizes the status of the MV-22 Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) program emphasizing the status of the Integrated Product and Test Teams (IPT and ITT), and resulting aircraft Design-To-Cost (DTC), weight and qualification status. It discusses the MV-22 overall design, digital electronic flight controls, benefits of automated composite construction, Hot Isotropic Press (HIP) castings, the Integrated Wiring System (IWS), multi-mission and supportability features designed into the MV-22.
