The utilization of an air-cycle system operating in conjunction with the aircraft turbine powerplants offers the capability of providing heating, cooling, pressurization, humidity control, and temperature control without an independent power source.The advantages of air-cycle refrigeration, considerations for system installation, performance data, and guidance in equipment selection are illustrated in this discussion.
