Efficient methods to solve large-scale optimizations for large modal frequency response analyses are presented. The existing methodologies and implementations are summarized, and potential issues and difficulties in solving such problems are discussed. The detailed implementations are described and a real industry example is used to evaluate the improvement of the methods.
