This work is a comparative study between Pt and Pt/ Pd catalysts for diesel oxidation. The goal is to determine the properties enhanced by the introduction of Palladium into the catalysts formulation and how such enhancements take place. The study combines data gathered via laboratory tests with real-scale engine tests for light duty applications. Heavy duty applications data was acquired via engine test and validated by on-road ageing.
