This paper evaluates two white LEDs of different CCT using a mesopic model. The results show that LEDs with higher CCT may have better visual performance than ones with lower CCT under the lighting conditions of night driving. The paper also emphasize that assessing lighting performance of light sources under different vision conditions only by CCT is not sufficient. Detailed analysis of the spectral distribution of the light source is needed.
