A descriptive paper pointing out the design highlights and performance features of two small displacement diesel engines designed primarily for tractor use. The description of the 152 cubic inch (2.49 liter) 3 cylinder and 202 cubic inch (3.33 liter) 4 cylinder engines shows a maximum interchangeability of parts and the use of common manufacturing equipment. Development tests indicate low fuel consumption, high torque reserve, and good cold weather starting ability.
