The necessity of knowing accurately vehicle parameters and their influences in dynamic performance has been a challenge for a long time. Specifically referring to tires' properties, different theoretical models were developed in order to estimate the dynamic behavior of the component, frequently requiring empirical constants obtained more accurately in experimental tests. However, experiments can turn into a costly process, demanding specific equipment, specializedprofessionals, specimen in good conditions, etc. Considering this, a usual alternative to experimental tests are computational simulations, which can be easier to perform, less demanding and cheaper. In this context, the main purpose of this work is to present a simulation study of a tire model with multiple contact points, using finite elements method (or analysis) approach, heading to estimate the parameters needed to approximate the tire-ground friction curve.
