The Icing Branch at NASA Glenn Research Center has funded an exploratory effort to identify requirements for developing a flight dispatcher-centered web-based icing training program that would be available for all airspace users. Through research and discussions with personnel at airlines, target areas were identified as influences on the requirements for the training system: This paper presents the preliminary findings with respect to the targeted areas and discusses the implications of these findings with respect to the development of a flight dispatcher-centered web-based icing training program.
