Holographic interferometry is used for a wide spectrum of applications in vehicle development. The most important applications comprise deformation and vibration analyses for the purpose of optimizing design and improving the ride comfort.Continuous wave laser and pulse laser holography systems for analyses under simulated or actual operating conditions which are suited for all common holography techniques are standard facilities.New methods and techniques, such as computer-aided-holography, evaluation systems and the taking of interferograms via glass fiber systems in areas which are optically not easily accessible are increasingly used in holographic interferometry.
