Soft magnetic composite (SMC) are produced compacting insulated iron powders. Although the SMC's have the potential to realize new designs of soft magnetic components due to the availability of 3D forming, their iron losses are higher than those of the conventional steel laminations at the low frequencies. In this paper, newly developed SMC materials with lower iron loss, which are made employing unique binder, are presented.
