The 21st century is often referred to as the “Age of Environment”. As of 1999, emissions regulations have been enacted for personal watercraft (hereinafter referred to as PWC) in the U.S., and in the same year, a low emission 2-stroke powered PWC with 3-way catalyzer was introduced to meet the regulatory requirements.Now, moving forward in anticipation of even more stringent regulations to come, the industry's first 4-stroke PWC was introduced. The 4-stroke engine generates high specific output power with natural aspiration. The intake, exhaust, and lubrication systems of this engine are specially devised to assure high reliability under the PWC's unique and intense operating conditions, and in the saltwater applications. The exhaust emission level of this engine meets the EPA 2006 standard, and the sound level complies with the applicable standard limits. It offers environment-friendly PWC.
