Lunar exploration will probably be one of the biggest undertakings of the national space effort during the next decade. The importance of lunar exploration from scientific, political, and, possibly, military standpoints cannot be overestimated. This paper, in a somewhat gross way, compares some of the promising methods of lunar transportation systems which might be employed during the late 1960's or early 1970's. Illustrated are some of the possible vehicle types and the approximate cost of transporting man and material to and from the lunar surface.
