A functional model of a throttle body fuel injection system is described. Although developed primarily as a tool for determining sensitivities of air/fuel ratio to component characteristics and computed variables, it also permits statistical analysis of air/fuel ratio and computation of voltage compensation factors. The model consists of the system sensors and electronics; the fuel subsystem hardware, comprising the fuel pump, fuel lines, pressure regulator, and fuel injectors; and the micro processor software. Both hypothetical and actual software can be simulated.
