In commercial vehicles, simple and inexpensive leaf springs are being proven dominant. This paper will present the alternative solutions, which are available for special purposes.If compared to conventional versions, these solutions not only excel in regard to special running characteristics, but they also have the advantage of less weight. It may be beneficial to vehicle development if in the future, lighter commercial vehicles contributing to saving energy could become a reality.
