Today's shortage of landfill sites and the problem of industrial and residential waste disposal highlights the need of compressing waste into the smallest practical volume. This requires Landfill Compactors to achieve highest possible compaction. Landfills operate year round, and the equipment used, must operate in all types of weather and offer a high degree of reliability and availability, with low maintenance requirements. When equipment is down, it should be possible to service and repair it in the shortest possible time, with commonly available tools and equipment. Landfill Compactors operate in a dirty environment and must be protected from fire hazard. They should be designed to operate in such hostile conditions, while offering safety and comfort for the operator plus best economical values for the owner.
