The John Deere 4239 Diesel Engine has recently been value-improved by making several design changes to improve engine performance, increase engine fuel efficiency, provide additional features for new markets, and reduce engine cost while maintaining overall engine reliability.This technical paper will highlight some of the engine features and detail some of the design and development aspects performed in preparing this value improved 4239 diesel engine for product introduction at our Dubuque Iowa Engine Factory.
