The paper presents methods of examination of athermal martensitic transformation induced by cyclic plastic strain. The way of determine cyclic properties has been presented for one-phase material (austenite) and finally for the two-phase material (austenite + martensite). The method makes use of measurement of mechanical, thermal and magnetic quantities. The method of dynamical hysteresis loop was applied. The appearance of cross effects: thermomechanical one (Kelvin effect) and magnetomechanical one (Villari effect) has been shown. The material constants: cyclic yield point scpl and cyclic limit of martensitic transformation limit scm were determined. The local measurements of thermal and magnetic quantities allow for examination of martensite distribution in austenite.
