A more profitable and pleasant fleet operation from the maintenance standpoint is possible through the use of newly developed test equipment and quick service test procedures. Vehicle testing is discussed along with some possible malfunctions that could lead the diagnostician astray if he did not use reliable test equipment and procedure. Requirements for an effective preventive maintenance program are outlined. Area test procedure and test results of hypothetical problems accentuate the need for a systematic program.
