A reaction control system is defined in terms of the source of power available, the working fluid of the system, the delivery system, the thrust producing devices and their point of application -- the control point. The relationship of the propulsion and reaction control systems are identified as independent, partly dependent, and interdependent. Geometric configurations for reaction control systems are presented along with the classifications of the power source. Results of a sample reaction control systems analysis are presented showing the progressive systems comparison with respect to the impact on the total system weight (includes the propulsion and the reaction control system).
