The McDonnell Aircraft Company (MCAIR) - McDonnell Douglas Corporation, St. Louis, under the sponsorship of the Air Force Wright Aeronautical Laboratories - Aero Propulsion Laboratory, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, has developed, verified, and documented four complementary digital computer programs for the design and dynamic analysis of aircraft hydraulic systems. These programs model typical hydraulic system components and use a building block technique to permit modeling of systems or subsystems with varying degrees of complexity. This paper briefly describes the four computer programs and presents MCAIR case histories of specific computer program applications. This experience should encourage others to apply these computer programs to the design and analysis of fluid systems.
