Since the early morning hours of November 2nd, 2001 the international space station (ISS) resident crews have relied on a near-closed loop regenerative potable water supply system. Data collected since has brought a more focused understanding of the quantity, quality and recovery rate of water in the form of humidity condensate from both the Russian (RSOS) and United States (USOS) operating segments. Such data are used to predict anticipated humidity condensate production and collection rates which are then incorporated into ISS water balance and re-supply planning. This paper describes the Condensate collection balance, factors affecting such balance and workarounds of hurdles affecting balance are continuously investigated. An unexpected discovery relative to the health of ISS ventilation and its effect on condensate collection balance is also discussed.
