This paper presents the method, tools and means used to study an electro-hydraulic servovalve, in a Computer-Aided Design type approach, and to analyse the behaviour of the servovalve and its elements. This formalism will then be re-used to study systems composed of several functional hybrid devices such as a braking system using the servovalve bonded to an Advanced Integrated Cruise Control System.
