A brief look at the problems faced by specialized carriers and manufacturers in the movement of overdimension and overweight machines. How the manufacturers can overcome many of the problems is through the initial design of the machine, and through a closer working relationship between the carriers and manufacturers. Accomplishing this will allow engineers to design and manufacture, and carriers to transport machines of the future, regardless of size and weight.
