This SAE Aerospace Recommended Practice (ARP) applies to fatigue testing of landing gear and landing gear components. ARP5429 contains general technology for fatigue testing of landing gear and landing gear components and which is considered stable for general use. Landing gear Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) currently utilize proprietary practices for fatigue testing landing gear and landing gear components, and they are unwilling to share this technology with industry.
