Optical tooling represents a very versatile “tool” for industrial use; particularly, in the manufacture of large fixtures and the alignment of machine tools. Like any tool, it must be properly utilized for maximum effectiveness. Modern optical tooling techniques can do much toward the solution of tooling problems, not only of today, but of tomorrow.
