The Automated-Training, Evaluation, Acquisition, and Management (A-TEAM) program is a U.S. Joint Service management initiative to provide a standardized, integrated set of training development tools to support and sustain military training requirements. The A-TEAM is sponsored by the Office of the Secretary of Defense and has a prime mission to establish commonality, capability, and interoperability in the defense department for advanced training systems development and implementation. The A-TEAM system development evaluates approaches for integrating service-specific automated training development tools. These tools are being cross-service and industry tested. The initial training development tools selected for the A-TEAM evaluation and integration include: (1) Joint Service Instructional Systems Development/Logistic Support Analysis Record Decision Support System from the U.S. Air Force; (2) Authoring Instructional Material (AIM) from the U.S. Navy; and (3) Automated Systems Approach to Training from the U.S. Army. Several other systems that will be evaluated to support the A-TEAM integration effort include the U.S. Marine Corps Automated Information Management (MC AIM) System and the U.S. Air Force Advanced Training System (ATS).
