Press Molding of glass reinforced thermo-plastics can be described as a compression molding operation of large parts requiring high strength. Materials, which contain up to 50% continuous strand fiberglass, can be molded using metal stamping presses achieving a cycle time of 25 seconds on soe parts. This paper will describe:
